2610D Compression Specs

Postby Dave2610D » Mon Sep 27, 2021 3:45 pm

We assume our 2610D dates to 1985'ish and would like to know when is the time to pull the injectors and clean them. How would I know "if" I need to remove and or replace them? Thanks

They shouldn't really ever need cleaned unless you have contaminated fuel. If an injector is partially clogged or dirty it will usually cause the engine to make smoke that smells like unburned diesel (because the fuel being injected is more of a stream than a fine mist that is easy to burn).

You can test the injector by following the instructions below
