No help here but curious. Is that a covered drive shaft with u-joints from gearbox to side drive? Picture looks like the shaft is on an angle, maybe an optical illusion?

yes it is a drive shaft with u joints. it does kind of angle up to the side drive. its been a good tiller. its 30 years old and iv never turned a wrench on it all though its not used but about twice a year. I still have the original owners manuel for it and it dosnt say anything about who built it. i herd at one time it might have been howard but they dont have a web site that i can use to compare the looks. there is nothing wrong with it other than needing a paint job im just curiouse about who built it.

Does anyone have a manual for one of these?
I broke the lower chain in the gear box and need a new one.
Thanks in advance

Any updates on who makes this? I recently purchased one and was looking to get a manual or some documentation on it.

Nice small tiller and I think it'll work great on my Kubota BX 1880.

I don't get on here much and just saw some questions asked about this tiller. I still today have not figured out who built this tiller. I have owners manual for this tiller and i believe that is it. The tiller was bought with the tractor when it was bought new from the dealer along with several other implements by various manufactures

After digging through paper work for this tiller I found in the back of the owners Manuel that mitsui looks to be the manufacture
