Box blade drops down after lowering 3/4 then drops hard the other 1/4

The box blade on my 3110 d yanmar drops down hard the last 1/4 of the way down.....lever feels mushy. will not stay up until lifting 3/4 of the way back up.

Not even sure yours looks like this 2000 but I believe it is similar. If so, make sure spring #38 is intact and working. I also think you have the little dowel #14 that acts as a handle to turn #9.
