Load on the lift arms of YM1601

Postby TrevorW » Sat Dec 12, 2015 4:11 am

Hi
I have just bought a YM1601 in very good condition and was looking to build a rear loader to move stone for our drive. To build it I need to know the lift capacity at the end of the top lift arms but cannot find it anywhere. Can anyone help me?

Yanmar uses the bottom lift arm as a reference point when stating lifting capacity. I can tell you the US sold YM220/226 has a 1168lb capacity at lower link end and 816lb 24" back. It is possible the 1610 parts manual would state lift capacity but do not know for sure. Thinking yours might be a little less than the 220 or 226.

My "guess" is 717# 24" back.

Many thanks. That was very helpful.
