yanmar 2210 hydraulic oil type/capacity (how to check)

Postby budkole » Tue Apr 29, 2008 10:02 am

Hi all, i am new to this tractor...i am needing to know how to check the level of hydraulic oil (i didnt see a dipstick for it, maybe i overlooked it). Also where i should add the fluid if i need to (is it the the plug that says oil next to where the gears are?)

What type oil/brand should i use?
How much hydraulic oil does it hold?
How do i tell if its full?

Sorry for all the dumb questions, thanks

Dip stick

I'm a new Yanmar owner/user myself. I have a YM 2210B. The Hyd. Plug is on the top of transmission & If you are on the left side of the tractor look on the side close to you should be just left (viewed from the seated position)of the transmission gear diagram IE 1234 . you should see a black plastic nob. Pull it straight up. This is the dip stick . Hope this helps, as I said I'm just a week into ownership myself. I think I saw some fluid recomendations on this sight somewhere , should be helpful.
Retired & still working.
