Ym2000 hydraulic pump is deadheading

Postby Bkfym2000 » Thu May 07, 2020 5:54 pm

I have a ym2000 with a 285 bulldog loader. the bucket would barely move and the three point wouldn’t raise. After blowing all the lines out and replacing the fluid the three point would raise but not stay up and the loader moved a little faster but still very slow. I replaced the pump and now the new pump is dead heading. I double checked all the passages and made sure everything was blown out, cleaned and could not find any obstructions. But when I turn the tractor on the pump immediately starts to whine so I shut it down. Any tips or tricks to fix this? It seems like a very simple system with not a lot that can go wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

Was your system working correctly and this all happened suddenly? Do you have any quick disconnects on your lines? Did you clean the suction strainer when you replaced the fluid? Is your 3 point stop valve open?
