Yanmar 1610D

Can anybody suggest what may have gone wrong?

Yanmar 1610D. Engine runs fine and clutch is good and relays engine drive to coupler in bell housing and turns input shaft (we have split the tractor to check all of this)

However when you view the Hydraulic clutch pack through the gearbox dipstick the drive does not come into the gearbox

Drive has been lost at the very front of the gearbox where the power shift unit is.

Has anybody had the same? Many Thanks

Does your PTO still turn? It is usually the splined coupler or the splines on the powershift pump input shaft that fails. Sounds like you have eliminated that though so you will probably have to do some more digging to see what is going on. Keep in mind a lot of that stuff will not turn in there unless it is in gear.
