Lube oil pipe leak

Postby jimjumper » Sat Apr 25, 2020 11:18 am

I just finished a top end rebuild which came out great. Starts immediately, no lights, no smoke or blowby, runs nice and cool. But I was running it today with the intent of getting it warm and doing a last check of the head bolts when I noticed that there is a small leak (a drop every couple minutes maybe) coming from the lube oil pipe bolt behind the manifold. Took it off and it has a copper washer. Does the washer go between the lube oil pipe fitting and the head or on the bolt like a regular washer? Other than making sure its tight any other ideas to get it stop?
Thanks!

Duh!! I was seriously overthinking this morning. When in doubt try both ways and see which way stop the leak! By the way, the copper washer goes between the head and the pipe not on the bolt...
