Slowly working through a piston and ring job on a 240D. Removed the head today and instead of the nut unscrewing from the stud, the whole stud and nut came out from the block. Anything special to just screwing it back in with 2 stacked nuts and then torquing down the head nut when I do the head gasket? And are the threads the same for either end of the stud?
