F735 trouble

Postby markwemple » Tue Mar 03, 2020 7:06 pm

I have a f735 with a 60"deck. I managed to run it too low on fuel and had to bleed the system. In the process of bleeding it, the starter all of a sudden didn't engage. I was having trouble with the ignition switch not returning home so I replaced it and sometimes I'd have to really hit the brake pedal to start it., so replaced that switch (what a massive pain). Still nothing. When I turn on the switch I can hear the pump. THe starter and battery were new last year. BAttery is showing 13.5 volts. Haven't bench tested the starter. Haven't replaced the pto switch. Seat switch is bypassed. HELP!

Check voltage at starter switch wire when turning to crank position to see if you are actually getting a signal to the starter. Is this a John Deere or what?
