1500d fel

Postby chuckc » Fri Oct 25, 2019 4:52 am

I just purchased a 1500d with a fel. When I bought it , all appeared great. Strong engine, strong hyd. no leaks, seller was very knowlegeable. I should have paid more attention to drivability. The cluch is slipping when using the loader. Looks like a clutch replacement. Anybody heve experience splitting a 1500d with a fel??

Are you sure the clutch is not just out of adjustment? I would start there first. I think you will want to remove the loader before spitting the tractor. After that, the steps below are very similar.

Thanks Aaron, The clutch was a mess, pressure plate compressed, throw out bearing kaput, put in a whole new carrier assembly. The shaft end was twited about 20 degrees, clutch fork bent just to mention a few things. How this tractor was able to move, I'll never know. BTW the splitting went very smoothly, the FEL must be removed!!!
