hydraulic issue 1401D

Postby dagnblond » Wed Jun 26, 2019 6:00 pm

had a shop replace the rear axle seals and bearings , when I got it back the hyd works fine till it runs a little bit then it's very noisy jerky and slow but if I shut it down and do a 10 count it is fine again till it runs a bit. to me it seems like maybe something that floats got dropped into the tank and gets pulled down to intake then floats away when pressure is released
any ideas or anyone else have this problem

Sounds like trash in your transmission sucking up against the suction screen. When you kill the engine it falls away briefly. Did they clean the suction screen when they had it apart? Reference number not showing but probably #1. https://www.hoyetractor.com/CTGY/1401HYDRAULIC.htm

thanks trying to find one of my buddies with a borescope to see if it's something I can fish out without having to drain the whole thing down

that is unknown but guessing not since i'm having this issue
guess I gotta drain it down and I'll just run this fluid thru a filter before reusing

Just don't sue if this is not your problem. Just seems to me your symptoms are most times related to the plugged strainer but we cannot know for sure.
