Trans/clutch issues

Postby Hdmike444 » Sun May 26, 2019 2:34 pm

So I’m having trouble with my 226d in reverse, it has no power. What should I be checking? It won’t go up over even a 6” bump forward seems fine. What should I be checking?

The 226 repair manual trouble shooting section #2 titled "tractor does not move when power shift lever in a certain speed position" refers to main relief valve pressure being to high. Says main relief valve stuck or its pilot hole plugged, or wrong spring or shims installed. Suggested solution: check main relief valve, springs and adjusting shims.

Also be sure that the shift gate is not physically preventing the shift lever from getting all of the way into the R position.
