What is this hose under the exhaust manifold?

Postby bookmaker » Tue Apr 23, 2019 1:58 pm

I have recently had an overheating problem and i think i have it solved on a YM1700. However, i noticed a type of smoke or vapor coming from the black hose that is behind the injector lines. Could anyone tell me what the purpose of this hose is? It comes out of a flat plate just below the exhaust manifold and travels down but doesn't connect to anything. Is this some type of engine vent? I have an image, but i cant figure out how to attach it to this note.
Thanks,
Bill

That is your crankcase vent tube (#35). A little smoke out of there is normal.
