What ac voltage were you showing at your dynamo?

I am unsure just what you have had apart on your hydraulics. Sounds like you may have had the relief valve out at the loader valve. Not sure but if so wondering if you have it set correctly. Your stop valve should only be closed when you want to lock the 3 point in a certain position. You do not want to try raising the 3 point when the stop valve is closed.

I didn’t take note of it. I just saw it was rising and falling with rpms. I can get numbers today
That new regulator plugged right in but still only 11.6 v at battery

"If" your dynamo is putting out a minimum of 13ac volts at idle and considerably more at high rpm they is is good. If not, it is bad.

Have your checked all your fuses?

I was reading around and saw that a Datsun 510 alternator could convert it over to internally regulated
Have you any experience with this?

Don't know about The Datsun 510 but I did change out my dynamo for an alternator on my old 2002D. Here is the thread about it. https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/yan ... ility.html

Don't know why you would need it. What kind of tach meter do you have? Does it read off a magnetic strip? Sort of guessing it may be for gasoline engine.

Just get a volt reading at idle, open her up and take another reading.

Ok will do. I have a friend at work that has a
3920 Farmtrak front loader for sale I have a YM 2000 D
How interchangeable would these be or could be a nightmare

I can't answer that. If it came off a similar size tractor I'm sure it could be made to work but I would be pretty confident the mounting brackets would likely have to be modified or made over. Do you own both a 2002D and a 2000D?
