Hydraulic Hose Replacement for Koyker FEL

Postby Jardin del Alma » Tue May 08, 2018 11:27 am

Hello Folks,

I did some searching and could not find any answers.

I have a YM2310D with a Koyker 125 FEL

I noticed the yellow line (retract) pn#674006 has a leak in it. I have never worked on hydraulics but need to replace this quickly to be able to continue getting my fields prepped for planting.

I assume there is a way to turn off the supply of fluid and change this relatively simply (without dumping all the hydraulic fluid) but thought I would ask ya'll if you can clue me what to do & where to get the proper hose.

I greatly appreciate all the help ya'll provide!

If you shut off the tractor, lower the loader, and cycle the loader valve all around (curl, up, down, dump) until everything quits moving - you can remove the hoses and only leak out what is in the hose (maybe also the oil in the cylinder but not much).

Most NAPA stores can make hydraulic hoses while you wait. Just take in your old one. If you don't have a NAPA just call a local Deere or Kubota dealer and ask them who makes hoses in your area.

If I may I would like to ask one more question regarding this....

Is there a need to flush the air out of the lines and if so how does one do that?

Just work the hydraulics, they will self bleed.

Thanks Winston...

I went down to the nearest place that will make a replacement and they were out of the proper sized fitting so I have to go back when they get it in... But this one is easy and simple...

At $51 this is not cheap!

Good thing the ol girl is worth it with all the work she takes off my back.

Thanks again folks...very grateful!

Sometimes you get a break by getting more hoses made at once. I had an extra made for my loader the last time, so if mine breaks again I'll have one on hand.
