Yanmar 2210D - fuel opening value

Postby Pepis » Mon May 07, 2018 2:36 am

Hello!

I`m new owner of old Yanmar YM 2210D from Poland (so excume me for my mistakes :) )
I bought it 1 month ago for 3 000 $ - it was in good shape overall but It was few things
which I needed to repair.
First was front axle - new bearings, seals, oil and repairs of loose collars.
Then I fixed leaking left brake (and also do right side when I had everything "open" )
Something goes wrong because on 2nd and 3rd gear of PTO something is "knocking" little bit but on 1st gear is silence and I don`t need other gears.

Las was checking fuel system because friend of mine has diesel mechanic so we put injectros on machine to find out value of fuel openning and:
1) 1200 psi
2) 1000 psi

We are not so sure how much should it be ?
I`ve found info that it should be 2276 psi - is that right ?

Why are you checking injectors? Don't look for problems where there are none.

He has a problem if his injectors are popping at 1000psi.

Previous owner said that it`s not so easy to turn it on when is cold outside.
When I had it on workshop we decided to take fuel system out to clean it in ultrasounds and check how it goes.
One of injectors was leaking before we cleaned it, after that it don`t.
Also he take a look at pump via mikroscope and everything is good.

We just want to know about opening value :) He set it about 2200-2300 psi.
There is little black smoke when I put gas pedal agressive just like before but definitly engine works evenlny.

I don`t want to make another threat so I`ll try to ask you here.
Yesterday I get it to my forrest to logging and I was very suprised how much power does it have but I saw little smoke in
vent tube from engine. When I put my hand under and put gas there is no oil on my hand and there isn`t smoke so much.
I guess I shouldn`t worry about it ?

I`ve changed oil : Mobil 15W40 Delvac XHP.

If I need some parts could anybody help me to send it to Poland ? In here there is a problem with it.

Have a nice day and once again: forgive me my mistakes :)

I wouldn't worry about the blow by as long as she is running smooth with power. Doesn't sound bad. Contact this sight to see if they ship over seas, I played around a little bit with an order and was able to check Poland for shipping so they might ship there.
