Yanmar 2210 injection pump buckets seized

Postby topfli8979 » Sun May 06, 2018 4:42 pm

My yanmar 2210 has sat for about 5 years unused. Tried getting her back up and running, but it's not getting enough fuel I believe . Will start but VERY sluggish, and dies even after numerous bleeding attempts. Pulled injector pots on pump , the outer bucks were free but the internal buckets will not move. I've tried magnets to no avail. I know they are supposed to come out of there somehow.

Probably already tried penetrating oil and turning upside down and hitting down on a board. Then again, maybe you haven't removed the pump from the engine.

No, I have not. Didn't know if there was a way to access them from the rear of ip.... That's next step.
