Which gasket? Looks like the lead is coming out the shifter boot. How is your fluid level?

The gasket here at the highlight. the fluid is coming out right there and getting on the foot rest. Sorry i should have circled that before. The rubber boot does not leak that i see right now. when I take the bolts loose and lift to put gasket in . do I need to put in a gear or neutral? do i need to disassemble the top part of the shift lever first, or will it come off as one piece?

I believe the 1500 and 2000 are similar. This video pretty much shows what you will see. Looks to me like you could take it apart at the leaking gasket point with no problems. Don't sue if I'm wrong.

Just common sense R&R, probably 4 bolts. If you have to be told you need to align the shifter forks . . . . . Your trans. vent, _(U-shaped tube), is probably clogged judging from oil leakage. Oil should not be that high in tranny unless under pressure or grossly overfilled.

Winston... Thank you for the help, finally got to work on this issue today! The video link helped a lot. I believe that it will be good to go now. Have a different issue to fix before I get to test. Thank you again

Norm, thank you as well. Although a bit of tongue in cheek, you were right to mention the alignment of the forks. I have no mechanical experience but due to a lack of people in my area that are willing to work on a gray market tractor I have to do and learn on my own. Thanks

I have read many threads on this forum and it has been a big help. thanks to all that share their experience.
