Deere 750 oil leak

Postby Filter » Tue Mar 06, 2018 6:13 pm

Hi, I have a John Deere 750 that is starting to leak a good amount of oil. At first I thought it was a rear main seal but now I am thinking it is the black part that is in the picture. I am not sure what it is? Maybe a pressure regulator? Fuel?
Thanks
Jeff[

I think that is your steering box if I'm looking at it correctly. A picture that is zoomed out a little more could tell us for sure.

I think you might be right, here is a better picture. You can see the loader controls and hookup at the top. I guess that wouldn't be the oil leak lol. I will have to keep looking. I thought it was the rear main seal, but the oil leak seems like it is coming from above and it doesn't seem like I am losing any engine oil. I added some dye to the hydraulics so I'll have to run it a bit and see if I can spot where the leak is starting.
