Yanmar ym2010 oil pan install?

Postby topfli8979 » Tue Feb 20, 2018 4:53 pm

Hey guys picked up a 4wd ym2010 missing oil pan . Have the replacement purchased from tractor salvage store. BUT it seems this oil pan is to deep to fit between front drive shaft and the block. I maybe have 3 inches between the two. This pan is at least 4-5 deep. I just don't see it fitting. Will take better picture whens it not pouring rain.

I just don't see it fitting. I will remove the shaft to install it, but don't think shaft will go back on.

Are you sure that is the correct pan? Doesn't look right to me.

That's what I was wondering also. I bought it over the phone from Fredericks tractor parts. Unless this machine has a different engine in it. 2t90 is only legible numbers on block.

It isn't a flat plate by any chance is it? And that engine has had it missing for some time too looking at it.

What does Fredericks say?

Do any models use different pans for the 2WD and 4WD versions?

The oil pan on the 2010 is not a flat plate like some but the drawing does appear to be thinner than the one you received.

Thanks for the help guys. After I saw the engine diagram, I realized I do have the right oil pan for a ym2010. But my engine is 2 cylinders not 3. Talked to Fredericks and my tractor is a 2210 not 2010. Still says 2010 on the front badge ,. Someone must have added that. Correct pan is on the way, hopefully can get it running for spring. Thanks again.
