Yanmar YM1300D Front Axle Oil

Postby drt » Tue Jan 02, 2018 1:41 pm

Hi, in the next couple of weeks I'll be replacing one of the knuckle seals on the front axle of my tractor, I'm struggling to find out which oil I should put in the front axle and the oil capacity of the axle, are you able to assist me with these things please? And should I flush a cleaning agent through the axle as it's probably the first oil change the axle has had since manufacture?
Many thanks

The axle holds 3 liters. Oil types in link below

It would not hurt to clean it out while you are there. Diesel fuel works pretty good for that.

Aaron I saw your link. Does the 1300 have a water pump? I just replace a lower hose I bought from you and did a 50/50 mix, when I put coolant back in it

Does the 1300 have a water pump?

It does not. 50/50 will be too much. You will need to reduce it.
