YM2002D Front wheel camber problem

Postby YM2002DAlbanyOR » Mon Oct 16, 2017 8:56 pm

Just purchased this YM2002D with 435 hours. Its my first tractor and I love it! I noticed today that the front wheel camber is different on each side of the tractor. The right side wheel is tilted way out at the top, the left side is almost straight up and down. I have not been able to find any information about camber adjustment in the owners manual or repair manual or online. Is this normal? what might be wrong? I have checked wheel lugs, all are tight, nothing wobbling while driving. I have attached a photo, hopefully you call can see what im seeing. the slant looks much more drastic in person. thanks!

They are designed to have a certain amount of camber and I cant really tell by the picture if they are the same but it looks like the casting on the left side of the picture is straight where the one on the right is not. Does it look like that right side axle casting is bent or is it just the picture? The tractor is also not sitting level (or the loader is not mounted level) which might make it look worse than it is too. I would lift up the front axle with the loader and be sure everything feels tight.

OK. I parked front wheels on a flat level surface and raised the font up with the bucket. everything in the front end seems tight with no play. axel housing is straight, it just looked bent in the picture. loader is slightly unlevel on front, maybe 1/8" to 3/16", but not bad. Looking at the camber on the front wheels while parked on level concrete both wheels now seem to be the same. I think where I park my tractor on the gravel there is a small dip the right wheel sits down into, seems the smallest amount of "un-levelness" or pitch on the front axle pitches the wheels up and down making the camber look like its going "in and out" . thanks for the help! think all is well!

I have a 2002D too and love it so far. Do you have any pictures of the whole tractor with the loader on?
