Yanmar YM7000 Help

Postby Lawdawg12020 » Sun Aug 20, 2017 6:46 am

Hello recently bought a Yanmar YM7000 from a farmer that took it in trade for land.
Don't know much about them other than it's a "grey market" tractor.
I would like to see if anyone else knows more info on them and we're to get parts for them.

Condition
Tractor start ups runs
Ac blows air doesn't cool
PTO works
Front end loader works but it's pretty slow and doesn't have much power

Any help is appreciated

Wow, you have found a rare one there. I would start by hitting the contact button above and see what Hoye has to say about parts or manual.

Most of the old YM series tractors have an internal suction screen in the transmission/hydraulic reservoir and some also have an external spin on filter. If your fluid looks contaminated fluid and filters might be your starting point. No power on the front end loader sounds a little scary. How about the 3 point, how does it seem to operate. Is is a category 1 or 2?

If you are unfamiliar with automobile a/c systems I would say you need to find a "good " auto air conditioner man and let him look over your system. Might just need a little freon, could be many things.

Where are you located?

Yup, that's a big'un, 84 hp. Appears to be just standard auto AC problems and standard tractor hydraulic problems. Get yourself an auto AC freon kit and check the freon. check/replace hydraulic fluid and check/clean pickup screen.

Unless it's different from other Yanmars, make sure to get combination hydraulic/transmission fluid.
