YM2000 front right spindle removal

Postby jacob1120 » Sun Jul 30, 2017 3:19 pm

Hello all,
My YM2000 was extremely difficult to turn. Started some trouble shooting and located the problem to the front right wheel spindle/bearing. My problem is that I cannot get the spindle to drop from the axle. http://www.hoyetractor.com/CTGY/2000AXLE2WD.htm Ive removed the tire, # 38 nut, and #21. I cannot get the spindle loose to get to the bearing. Any recommendations?

Sometimes those spindles get grooves wore in them and the groove hangs up on the bushing. They can be a real job to get out. We have had to cut them off before.

Did you replace the 38 nut, (loosley), and hit it with a hammer, or possibly heat it and hit.?

Thank you. I heated it up and hit it a few times. Finally broke loose.
