There are dozens/hundreds of Yanmar USA dealers around the country, any of whom may have your part on the shelf, (probably NOS), however I would wait until split before ordering as it could as easily be either shaft damaged as well.

Thank You!!!!

I had a chance to check out the noise location. The bell housing on this unit is about one foot long to where it bolts to the transmission. I believe the source of the grinding is on the bell housing side at the point it bolts to the transmission.

If this is where Aaron and Winston was referring to, I would appreciate the feedback!!!

If the collar is still believed the issue, I am assuming i can split at this point without draining the transmission?

Any other hints or information that can be shared will be greatly appreciated, as I am in a REAL bind to get this repaired and up and running.

Thanks to ALL whom have already chimed in!!!!

Yes, that is the place the coupling is located. As Norm pointed out, it could be the shaft and until you split you are not going to know anything for certain. No fluid will come out at the point of split but I am not certain about where exactly you have to take the suction line loose going to the hydraulic pump. I believe that would be the only place there should be concern of losing fluid.

This article might help you. http://www.hoyetractor.com/clutch.htm

I know this is an old post but my 1810D is exhibiting the the same symptoms after a particularly rough brush hogging session. Was it indeed the coupler Wiseman? Did you do the repairs yourself? Is it hard to split the tractor? I don't even know if my tractor has the same setup. Thanks for any info.

Your tractor has the same setup. https://www.hoyetractor.com/PROD/SC-4300.htm

Hopefully Wiseman will be along with his help but this might help you if you go for the split. https://youtu.be/HVb58N-gdhU
