yanmar 1500 hydraulics

where is the screen located on trans? and do i need a new gasket when i pull it out?

No gasket, and you'll find posts here (use the Search function) on how to do that.

Probably use old gaskets but only inspection at time can be certain.

did this on my 1610 today ,find your tranny drain plug, (the lowest bolt on the transmission), then on the left hand side of the housing, you will see a triangular plate with three 10mm bolts. Even though you have drained the transmission via the drain, you will get a heap more fluid once you release the screen cover plate, be warned. No gasket, just a specific O- ring, I smeared a very thin layer of gasket goo on the plate just to be sure. Be a pain in the butt if it leaked and you had to drain the transmission again. hope that helps.
