I have fluid coming from my front end that leaks down onto my rim and tire. Its not the bottom plate but coming from higher up like where the joint is where my tire turns. Any ideas or suggestions on what and how I can fix this? Is this a major fix?
there are 3 rubber seals that could be bad and causing the leak-most likely is the big middle one, these is also a small one up top covered by a bolt and washer and the wheel axle seal.Had to do this repair on my 1500D-the wheel seal was ok,the top one was replaced because of dust wearing and rust, and the middle one(most of the leak in my case)wasn't badly worn but had age cracks letting oil seep...Repair was very easy
Have you looked at this sights parts drawings. The red and green 1500s are different but both are listed. Looking at those should help you better understand what you have.
Good deal. No I didn't know about the site's parts drawing but I will check it out. I am a newbie to this site and also newbie tractor owner (Red 1500D). Thanx to all.
I know it’s been a while but I don’t suppose anyone has any more info on doing this job. I’m no expert and have no special tools. But is it pretty self explanatory?
If it's the knuckle seal, it literally took me 30 mins. And I am about as novice as they come.
