Yanmar rear wheel removal

Postby Mffriars » Sat Apr 28, 2012 9:22 am

I bought my first middle aged toy. Yanmar 165. I got a hole in the tire valve stem. Cleared a entire field with heavy brush.I need to pull the wheel. How is this done? I guess it has two set bolts and some pin. I know I could figure it out. Would appreciate a step by step instruction. Do these tires have tubes in them? I have turf tires.

See figure 31 for tire removal.http://downloads.pfgaustralia.com.au/in ... 0T2391.pdf

2 different pages showing turf tire options. One shows a tube, one doesn't.

A service visit by a farm-tire shop would be faster, easier, and safer. They could replace both valves, install tubes if not already done (a good idea on older tires), and, if you want, install ballast in the tubes.

I just took the carter pin out. Wheel came right off. Took to get new valve stem. Should have put tube in. The two bolts use as a set screw did not need loosened. Should I have tightened them in or is that to adjust the wear on the tires?
Thanks guys just joined this.

The repair manual for a 135/155 calls for the set screws to be torqued to 87-108 ft lbs. I would think your 165 should be at least that tight. What size are those bolts?
