PTO engaged

Noticed today that my PTO will stay engaged sometimes even when lever is in neutral. Stops when I press in on clutch. Any ideas on what this is about?

If you are talking about without a load it might just be the lubricant turning it. Happens on many different manufacturers and models. Nothing to be concerned about. If it is with a load then that would be another thing.

That's exactly right. With a load it doesn't spin. That's how I noticed it. Unhooked the PTO on my brush cutter and the PTO shaft started spinning.
