YM 1900

Hello, need some help about 10 months ago I replaced the head gasket, head resurface valves reground because of a low compression problem. After the work it started and ran great. Recently I was running the tractor a puff of smoke came out of the stack it started to lose power I shut it off and since have not been able to start it.
I have good fuel to the injectors and a good spray pattern.
The compression was low so I removed the head and found the front cyl was leaking past the gasket.
I had the head checked for warpage and flatness at a machine shop.
I checked the block as best possible less then .005 warpage on feeler gauge.
Installed new head gasket,Torqued the head, set valve clearance.
But still won’t start and run, compression still seams low at 300psi.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Aside from visual inspection when you had the head off for scoring, cracked piston possibly broken ring. If you had the pump off may be a timing issue? Aaron will probably be your best bet for more in depth answers.
