I recently was using my 1500 and it stalled abrutly when in high gear. I continued to start it but when I would let out of the clutch it would stall. I switched to low gear and it works great, just when traveling across the farm its slow, so is the gear stuck, do I need to take it in or is there an issue that I don't know about. Please advise.
Did you shift gears or press the brake or do anything right before it stopped moving in high gear or just cruising along and it just stopped (like a bearing froze up or something)?
Define high gear. Range shift or gear shift?
it was while I was crusing, I can put it in high gear and its fine as long as the clutch is in, but once I release it stalls.
It the shift on the right side under right leg that says low/high. High gear is back toward the seat and low is forward.

That is your range shift. Does it feel like it is moving anything as you move it back and forth? I sure can't know but would suspect something going on with #s 26 & 32 or related gears on this drawing. You may have to take the top off your transmission to have a look. Aaron probably able to give better advice.

Thanks, I will probably take it over to the tractor guy that has worked on it in the past at least the low range works to allow me to get my stuff done
