PTO engaement lever

Postby GBuford4372 » Mon Jul 13, 2020 3:49 am

I have a 4 speed PTO, and 1 and 2 work fine, but when I try to shift over to 3 & 4, the linkage seems to be stuck. Is this an easy fix? I really only need 2 speeds anyway, just curious....

I don't have an answer for you but do have questions. Looking at the parts drawing I assume you might push the lever to the right or left before moving forward or backwards to change speeds. the drawing shows two shifting forks. I am unfamiliar with your shifting pattern, are speeds 1 and 2 to the left and 3 and 4 to the right or just how does it work? Does all this drawing linkage seem to be intact on yours and binding is internal?

Yes sir. 1-2 left, the 3-4 or shifted to the right. That plastic block is missing, but it still seems to be in the actual 3-4 linkage

I am not sure what the plastic block does but must be important. https://www.hoyetractor.com/PROD/PTOB-2787.htm
