Power Shift Not Working

Postby scott_hudson » Sat Jul 11, 2020 11:37 am

Yanmar 336D serial number 336D-41728

Symptoms: The tractor moves very slowly in all gears (both standard transmission and power shift mode).

My diagnosis so far: the hydraulic fluids are full with all cylinders extended and PTO running and 3 point up; all functions work well correctly and fast; 3 point hitch goes up and down; bucket and arms up and down without problems; the power steering works correctly. It just does not shift correctly. Tractor will creep and barely shift into power shift mode in all gear ranges.

Is there anyone who can help with this problem

Sorry I missed this post. Does your PTO work under a load- like with a mower attached?

Is your clutch pedal adjusted to roughly 3/4" of free travel?

Did it just start this or you bought it this way?

Might help, might not. Trouble shooting pages out of a 226 manual. I would expect it to be very similar in the 336 manual. I read of trash or broken springs in the relief valves causing problems. Will have to add 3rd page in new post.

Probably #47, could be #40.

Don't have the torque, I would use goodntight.
