226D can't get drive shaft back into place

Postby osamequinfarm » Mon Jun 08, 2020 3:56 pm

Dipstick fell off into the transmission so I had to take the gear box at the bottom of transmission off to retrieve it. Then the drift shaft going from gear box to front axle came off, too. Now I can't get the drive shaft back into place - every way I've tried seems like the shaft is too long, it won't fit into place. Tried putting the shaft in at the front and maneuvering the back in and vice versa. Any ideas or tips? Thanks!
