rebuilding YM1720 motor

Postby ebressettejr » Fri Jun 05, 2020 9:05 pm

I am rebuilding a YM1720D motor. The water that was in the cylinders has pitted them. I was able to hone them but there is a taper to them from top to bottom. The motor is 3T75U. I have found another block from a YM1810 that is 3T75H. I am asking if I can use all the stuff from my block (3T75U) in the other block (3T75H)?

Thanks for any advice.

The 3T75H engine is a sleeved engine and uses different pistons & head gasket so not many parts would interchange. The entire engine might but I dont have any way to know for sure. I think the sleeved engines are typically longer though which would cause complications with your swap.

Thank you for the info. I guess I will keep looking for the proper block.

Is it worn beyond having it bored out to larger piston? https://www.hoyetractor.com/PROD/EP-1467.htm
