Re: Instrument panel
Ok. Sorry. I get 12.6 volts at battery while the tractor is running. Nothing meaning upwards of that indicating a charge going back to battery. I have to charge my battery manually. My meter obviously wasn't reading AC well, so I got a new meter and now when I test the wires at the Dynamo, I get 13....

I was actually just looking at the 226 I found online. I think given that the gauges don't work as well, and I have power out of the dynamo, I'm inclined to thing the regulator is bad. It looks like the regulator has a red wire from it to the starter where it jumps back to to the battery thru the po...

Re: Instrument panel
Any chance a wiring diagram is out there? It might help me figure out if I have ANY power coming out of regulator and it may help show where my regulator goes to battery. It must hop on at the stater where + wire come from battery. There is no other wire going to my battery.

Re: Instrument panel
Ok, Winston and Aaron. I owe you an apology. Dynamo is working. Checked with a new meter and it IS indeed putting out. 12v at idle up to18-22v at higher rev. Now, is there a way to check regulator out put?

Re: Instrument panel
so, to be clear when checking wires out of dynamo, meter should be on AC, and probes should touch the two spades coming out of wire. THere are two connections in the terminal. Either one is fine for positive and negative with probes. Sorry about all this, but I am not electrically technically....

Re: PTO engaged
That's exactly right. With a load it doesn't spin. That's how I noticed it. Unhooked the PTO on my brush cutter and the PTO shaft started spinning.

Re: Knuckle gap issue YM2010D
And that caused the uneven gap like that? I hope that's all it is.

PTO engaged
Noticed today that my PTO will stay engaged sometimes even when lever is in neutral. Stops when I press in on clutch. Any ideas on what this is about?

Yes, I intend on opening and checking it out. Was just wondering if there was any prior experience to play off of. Thanks as always Winston, I'll keep ya posted.

Knuckle gap issue YM2010D
Guys, Ive believe Ive asked this before but I cant find the thread. This spring I intend on doing a few projects to the old workhorse. One of my first goals is to fix the knuckle gap on the front end. The gap is larger on the inside than on the outside, causing my seals to leak. I may end up getting...
