Re: YM2000B Left Rear Wheel Won't Move

Finally found time to take the fender off and get a better look. The brake cam lever was indeed stuck but worse than that the previous owner had broken the cover and used sealant over the break and painted it Yanmar green. I now have the cover off with the brake drum stuck to it. Given COVID-19 has ...

YM2000B Left Rear Wheel Won't Move

Background - YM2000B bought summer 2019. Changed hydraulic oil, air filter, antifreeze during summer. Tractor was used about 25 hrs in summer. Stored outside with a cover this winter in Alabama. I've cranked it each month since last real use in October 2019 to let it run a bit. Issue - Cranked it to...

YM2000B Steering Gear Box

How do you check the fluid in the YM2000B steering Gear box and what type oil might it take? That's about the only fluid I haven't checked or changed on this tractor since I bought it in June.

YM2000B Positive Traction

It seems my positive traction lever doesn't work (need it going up hills while using finish mower sometimes). Any pointers on how this system is supposed to work? I don't have a users manual..

Re: YM2000B Temperature Guage

Update. I followed the radiator back flush advice on this site and also replaced the blown hose. I was then able to mow 3 acres with the 5 ft FM with no high temperature issues. Quite a bit of brown sludge was removed during the radiator back flush.

Re: YM2000B 3 Pt Hitch Issue

Update: Drained fluid this afternoon and removed the screen filter. It was fully covered with gunk. Cleaned it up with diesel fuel and installed it. Put new fluid in and hydraulics work as they should even after working the tractor for 30 mins. Thanks for the help!

Re: YM2000B Temperature Guage

Thanks for the information Winston. A 4 ft. bush hog may be in the works for me for this property if the 5 ft. FM is too much for the tractor. I bought this tractor with the 5 ft. FM to mow a 3 acre tract. I thought the 5 ft. FM would be fine after the first cut to bring the grass down to a manageab...

YM2000B Temperature Guage

I was mowing with my new to me YM200B today (5 ft King Kutter finish mower) and noticed the temperature gauge creeping up to the orange "hot" range after about 25 mins of mowing. The overtemp light never came on and the tractor ran and mowed fine. I took a break and then finished up mowing...

Re: YM2000B 3 Pt Hitch Issue

Thanks for the quick reply. I will try the filter clean and fluid change this weekend. I'm not familiar with the rubber suction coupler. Any diagram help to show where that is would be appreciated.

YM2000B 3 Pt Hitch Issue

Just bought a YM2000B from an individual. It came with a 5ft. finishing mower (King Kutter) and has 1112 hrs on a working hour meter. He had only owned the tractor for 2 months and didn't really use it. It runs great but during the first mow of my field (after full grease job on the mower and tracto...
