Re: 2210 Governor

I know this is over two years later, but thought I"d share in case it was helpful to someone else. When I took the engine apart a year ago to rebuild it, I noticed that the adjusting bolt and nut (#3 in the top diagram) that connects the governor slide bar to the governor mechanism inside the f...

Re: Three-point log splitter hookup

Could I approximate the flow needed by measuring the diameter of the cylinder and deducting a certain amount for the cylinder wall thickness?

Re: Three-point log splitter hookup

This is an older splitter and the labels are faded white, but I did find another label that says it's a Brave Industries splitter.

Re: Three-point log splitter hookup

So, how about an outboard pump, such as this: https://www.amazon.com/Bestauto-Hydraulic-13-7GPM-Splitter-Tailgate/dp/B082V2BRKL/ref=sr_1_39?crid=3C1I7TS1LY776&dchild=1&keywords=log+splitter+hydraulic+pump+kit&qid=1606710401&sprefix=log+splitter+hydraulic+%2Caps%2C227&sr=8-39 Woul...

Re: Three-point log splitter hookup

Thanks, Winston. I was concerned about the splitter speed, because the loader seems to move slowly. I was wondering if there was any way to speed it up by putting some kind of (whatever the opposite of a reduction gear is) on the pump. Step-up gear?

Three-point log splitter hookup

So, I just bought a 3-point mounted log splitter at an auction, and I need to know how to hook it up to my YM2210. Any help on this?

Re: Valve timing 2210 + injector timing

Never mind-I found it... However, speaking of timing, how about injection timing? The manual just says that Yanmar injectors don't go "out of time", so no need for adjustment. But what if some time in the past someone had fiddled with it, or replaced the pump? I looked for an article about...

Valve timing 2210

I put a new crankshaft in my motor, and after disassembling it, realized I hadn't looked at the position of the cam gear in relation to the crank gear before taking them off. I looked in my manual, but couldn't find anything addressing this. If i mate them so that the 0 on the cam gear fits between ...

Re: Hydraulic leak

Okay, so I finally took the filter out, and it's pretty cruddy. Also, when I drained the hydraulic oil from that part of the case, it looked pretty gunky. So I remove the line on the other side of the case that goes to the pump, so I had access from both sides, and cleaned off the bottom of the case...

Re: 2210 knuckle seals

Hey Aaron,
I received the repair sleeves the other day, and I'm wondering if there are any specific instructions for installing them. I will be cleaning the mating surfaces up as well as I can, but do I need to add any sealant, perhaps at the top?

Re: 2210 brakes

Hey, Winston, this is a great article! My setup is a little different from what the article shows, but mostly the same. I am also going to need the bushing mentioned in the article, and it's not shown in this diagram, and for some reason my parts manual doesn't show the parts I need. There is also a...

Re: Parts diagram

The second drawing is very close to what I need; I need the view of the parts just inside these, specifically the plate, held on by 5 bolts, that comes off under the brake drum.
