Thanks, Winston, for responding on a Sunday afternoon! I'll take a look and see.

Re: Valve timing 2210 + injector timing

Never mind-I found it... However, speaking of timing, how about injection timing? The manual just says that Yanmar injectors don't go "out of time", so no need for adjustment. But what if some time in the past someone had fiddled with it, or replaced the pump? I looked for an article about...

Valve timing 2210

I put a new crankshaft in my motor, and after disassembling it, realized I hadn't looked at the position of the cam gear in relation to the crank gear before taking them off. I looked in my manual, but couldn't find anything addressing this. If i mate them so that the 0 on the cam gear fits between ...

Re: Hydraulic leak

Okay, so I finally took the filter out, and it's pretty cruddy. Also, when I drained the hydraulic oil from that part of the case, it looked pretty gunky. So I remove the line on the other side of the case that goes to the pump, so I had access from both sides, and cleaned off the bottom of the case...

Re: 2210 knuckle seals

Hey Aaron,
I received the repair sleeves the other day, and I'm wondering if there are any specific instructions for installing them. I will be cleaning the mating surfaces up as well as I can, but do I need to add any sealant, perhaps at the top?

Re: 2210 brakes

Hey, Winston, this is a great article! My setup is a little different from what the article shows, but mostly the same. I am also going to need the bushing mentioned in the article, and it's not shown in this diagram, and for some reason my parts manual doesn't show the parts I need. There is also a...

Re: Parts diagram

The second drawing is very close to what I need; I need the view of the parts just inside these, specifically the plate, held on by 5 bolts, that comes off under the brake drum.

2210 brakes

I took the brake shoes off the left side today, and the compartment was filled with oil, apparently leaked from the drive train. I took the bolts out of the plate that sorrounds the brake drum shaft, but couldn't figure out how to remove it so I could replace the seal (the number I have for that par...

Parts diagram

Hey, how do I access exploded parts diagrams, rather than just listed parts?

Re: 2210 knuckle disassembly

I got it apart, and found that I need yet some more parts, darn it. I took the other one apart also, and it looks okay.

Re: 2210 knuckle disassembly

Sorry, this is the manual I got from Hoye.
In this drawing, it would be: I'm Trying to get the spindle (1 in the drawing) out, as well as the bearing (15) so I can see the bevel gear (9) and the drive shaft bevel pinion (gear) (9) to check for wear. Am I diving too deep into the front axle?

Re: 2210 knuckle disassembly

I have separated the knuckle housings; I did this before removing the steering arm. I removed the steering arm after separating them, on the bench.

Re: 2210 knuckle disassembly

In the drawing on page 50-40-5 of the manual, I'm Trying to get the spindle (D in the drawing) out, as well as the bearing (M) so I can see the bevel gear (K) and the drive shaft bevel pinion (gear) (T) to check for wear. Am I diving too deep into the front axle?
