Re: SC2400 Won't start

I would try either a remote switch like this or jump across the starter with a screwdriver. This would eliminate the starter if she fires off.

Re: YFL1500

I certainly do not know for sure but would bet a dollar to a donut it wouldn't fit. For what it is worth you can learn a little about the loader made for the 240 (2000) here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Farm-Tractor-Brochure-Yanmar-YM240-D-Backhoe-Loader-et-al-11-items-F4239-/311589709577 About 9 hp di...

Re: 3 pt hitch sway chain mount

I don't have a definite answer but as usual I do have an opinion. I would want mine tight just to stop them from moving around in the hole and possibly causing unnecessary wear. However, if you think about it you would wonder why the castle nut and cotter pin, why not just a lock washer. I stick wit...

Re: YM 2020D Fuse Panel

Wish I had good advice but don't. I know several models have a cover right below the steering wheel that can be removed for access to the switch and other dash components. However, I am thinking the 2020 doesn't have that cover. Is it not possible to reach the switch by reaching under the instrument...

Re: Water temp and oil pressure gauges.

I&T manual shows 35 to 49 psi for 330, about the same as your tractor engine wise. Does not list a temperature range.

Re: SC2400 Won't start

I don't know how many safety switches your tractor has. I believe a brake switch, a pto switch, and a seat switch. What else I don't know. have you checked those 3 for function? Have you checked fuses?

The pressure on a 226 is to be 213 to 227psi with range shift lever in neutral and power shift lever in R, 1,2, 3. I do not have the info for a 186 but guessing it wouldn't be far off.

Re: Leak where radiator hose joins block

Assuming we are talking about a 1600 here and if so it is a rubber gasket. https://www.hoyetractor.com/PROD/VCG-4450.htm

Re: Tractor will not move

For clarity we are talking about a 186D? Beginning to sound like a broken stub axle or ring and pinion gear problem. What happens if you put it in 4 wheel drive? What happens if you engage the differential lock? You have pretty much ruled out the clutch or drive couplings by being able to turn the e...

Re: Leak where radiator hose joins block

A leaking rocker arm cover gasket would have no effect on the performance of the engine. Just make a mess.

Re: 336D decompression device clearance question

Common sense would tell me to adjust until contact is felt when turning engine, then back off enough to assure no contact will be made. In other words, get the maximum clearance possible without endangering contact. Just an opinion, not from any manual.

I have come to believe your laws are even more restricting than ours here in the states. Hope it all works out for you.
